- ➤ Authorities are searching for Alvin Clemons, a 71-year-old man from Ooltewah who was last seen on March 13th wearing a green Baylor sweatshirt and blue jeans and driving a black 2015 Ford Explorer with plate number 53A-188; anyone with information should call the Hamilton County Sheriff's office at 423-622-0022 or 1-800-TBI-FIND. - ➤ Veterans Bridge — normally gray and beige — now features a colorful art installation by NYC-based artist Ebony Bolt as it serves as the detour route while Walnut Street Bridge closes Monday for 18 months to address structural and deck issues. Bolt’s work, themed around art, nature, recreation and shopping, aims to offer an engaging experience for pedestrians and cyclists traveling between downtown and North Shore. - ➤ Hamilton County Schools is reviewing the credits of Chattanooga Prep seniors to ensure they can graduate on time after finding 21 of 45 teachers are unlicensed—most teach courses needed for valid credit. The district will work with the school to establish proper certifications and aims for all 50 seniors to graduate on time as discussions about the charter continue. News Channel 9

- ➤ The Tennessee Senate passed a bill on March 13 that sets a 30-day deadline to clear homeless encampments and a 10-day notice before disposing of personal property—service providers worry the plan may hurt local efforts to house people. The bill heads to the House Transportation Subcommittee on Tuesday for further review. Chattanooga Times Free Press
- ➤ A new bill sponsored by Rep. Mike Sparks from Smyrna would lower the minimum age for bus drivers from 25 to 21 to ease the shortage and reverse a law put in place after the Woodmore bus crash in 2016 that killed six children. The bill passed key committee votes in February and on March 11 and now heads back to lawmakers for further action. Local 3 News

- ➤ At the future home of the Chattanooga Lookouts, team president Rich Mozingo led a tour on March 15, 2025 that showed crews moved 100,000 yards of dirt and will soon set a thousand tons of steel as the project prepares for an April 2026 opening. The ballpark will feature a main entrance in an 1882 building and a remodeled foundry area for restaurants and offices—these features and plans to develop over 400 acres will boost the area's growth.
