- ➤ On Monday, a Chattanooga police officer named JaMaael Noble was arrested by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and charged with domestic assault after he struck a victim and smashed a cell phone, and he will be placed on administrative leave upon his release from jail. - ➤ On Monday morning, shortly before 2:00 a.m., deputies responded to a call at the home on Weathervane Loop in Ooltewah after an officer from the Chattanooga Police Department allegedly hit a victim and smashed their phone, and he was later found in a parking lot after leaving in his city-issued vehicle—he is now on administrative leave pending an internal affairs investigation. - ➤ Chattanooga police arrested Dana Key—charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm during a felony and kidnapping—less than 24 hours after he shot a woman on Tomahawk Trail, forced her into his car on Bonny Oaks Drive and crashed during a police chase near Tunnel Blvd. Local 3 News

- ➤ A wildfire on Daus Mountain in South Sequatchie County burned nearly 500 acres, damaged at least two homes, a barn and forced evacuations as overnight rains and firefighters contained the blaze by Monday. - ➤ Chattanooga firefighters will unveil a new 6-story fire training tower tomorrow off Amnicola Highway + the structure replaces a 50-year-old tower behind the Police and Fire Training Center. The 8,053-square-foot facility has realistic burn rooms for live fire, search and rescue as well as technical drills + its design was developed with Fire Facilities to prepare responders for emergencies.
