- ➤ Tech. Sgt. Sanford G. Roy, a World War II airman from Chattanooga, will be laid to rest at Chattanooga National Cemetery on April 8 on the 81st anniversary of his death. - ➤ Chattanooga police say Tommy Hartley held a woman hostage at his home last Saturday for eight hours, during which he attacked her physically, verbally & restrained her, and he now faces charges of attempted first degree murder, aggravated kidnapping & aggravated domestic assault. News Channel 9

- ➤ After over eight years of planning, crews are working on a $3 million landscaping project to improve the Fourth Street-U.S. Highway 27 interchange—designed as a gateway to Chattanooga. - ➤ U.S. states are racing to attract plans for new small nuclear reactors that could start running by 2030. Tennessee Gov Bill Lee and lawmakers in Utah, Texas, Michigan, Indiana and Arizona have put forward funding and bills while experts warn that safety and storage issues still need work—raising questions about the reactors' promise. - ➤ The Chickamauga Lock Replacement Project is set to start operating in 2028 to improve navigation, flood control, and power generation while cutting barge crossing times from up to 18 hours to about 2 hours via a new 110 by 600-foot lock—250,000 cubic yards of concrete have been poured.
