- ➤ Darryl Theophilus Roberts, 58, accused of first-degree murder for fatally shooting businessman Chris Wright outside Patten Towers in 2023, stood trial Tuesday in Hamilton County Criminal Court—jury selection took most of the afternoon and both sides are set to begin opening statements today. - ➤ Hamilton County broke its record last year for fastest business growth among Tennessee's four biggest counties. Secretary of State Tre Hargett said filings in Hamilton County increased by 10.2%—a higher rate than in Knox County—while business renewals statewide grew by 31.8%. Local 3 News

- ➤ Hamilton County Schools hosted their final community budget meeting at Dalewood Middle School where parents and advocates voiced concerns about proposed special education cuts—officials explained the changes are due to overestimated student projections.
