- ➤ Chattanooga native Sergeant Sanford G. Roy, a WWII hero missing for 81 years, will be laid to rest on April 8 at Chattanooga National Cemetery as family and community gather to honor his sacrifice—his remains were identified last summer after his plane was shot down over Germany. Relatives say the ceremony gives them a chance to finally say goodbye to the hero who has always been remembered at home. Local 3 News
