- ➤ On Tuesday morning, April 15, a camper fire on Lisa Lynn Drive caused a propane tank explosion as firefighters from Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department responded—no injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Local 3 News

- ➤ Hamilton County Schools face tough decisions as proposed budget cuts may cut transportation for 10 magnet schools, with 40 percent of students at CSAS relying on buses & shuttles. A public meeting will be held today at 6:00 p.m. at the CSAS auditorium at 865 E. 3rd Street & the school board will vote on the new budget on May 8. Local 3 News

- ➤ On Monday morning, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office detected an unauthorized attempt to access its network systems and shut them down to protect data while an investigation began—several online services, including the official website and warrant search, remain offline until further notice. - ➤ House Bill 0085 passed the legislature and will require elementary schools to give students 40 minutes of recess each day instead of 15 minutes. The bill now awaits Gov. Bill Lee's signature and will take effect July 1 if signed— it mandates unstructured outdoor play except in dangerous weather—. News Channel 9
