- ➤ Sead Miljkovic, a long-time East Ridge resident, is on trial in federal court in Chattanooga for alleged war crimes in Bosnia during the 1990s—he faces three counts of torture and three counts of passport fraud after using a false identity to enter the U.S. News Channel 9
- ➤ A 29-year-old man identified as Tyler Blackwell led deputies on a high-speed chase after giving false identification at a Highway 153 stop around 8 a.m. Wednesday — he crashed into a civilian vehicle, tried to ram patrol cars near Holiday Hills Drive, and was arrested while now facing charges including felony evading and reckless driving. - ➤ Hamilton County deputies arrested two North Alabama teen suspects after spotting a stolen BMW near a Sale Creek business on Tuesday afternoon—one 17-year-old reached for a concealed handgun while a 15-year-old was taken into custody without incident. News Channel 9
- ➤ On April 30, a federal trial began with a Hamilton County Grand Jury in Chattanooga for 51-year-old Bosnian Sead Miljkovic accused of torturing prisoners in the 1990s and committing passport fraud after a judge denied his attempt to dismiss the charges over statute limits and jurisdiction issues.
