- ➤ After an April 14 cyberattack, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office restored all its network systems, including public programs and the internal software linking to law enforcement, by May 1 — the department did not pay the $300,000 ransom demand and instead spent $48,000 on a cybersecurity firm.
