Yusuf Hakeem will host a town hall today at the Eastdale Community Center from 6:00-7:30 p.m. to listen to residents about a proposal to move the Moccasin Bend Mental Health Institute — he said the current site’s historic significance and impact on local subdivisions call for looking at other Hamilton County locations, and Councilman Dennis Clark and Councilman Ron Elliott will join him.  Local 3 News
  • During a county commission meeting yesterday, Hamilton County leaders debunked rumors that Rivermont Elementary would remain open after the merger and confirmed that the new North River Elementary School—currently under construction—will combine students from DuPont, Rivermont, and Alpine Crest.
