- ➤ The Hamilton County School Board approved an $11 million wish list for teacher raises and other needs—board member Ben Connor said the funds are owed because of maintenance of effort laws. - ➤ Dr. Brent Meadows from CHI Memorial Primary Care Associates warns that drinking water from a garden hose is unsafe because many hoses use chemicals that can leach harmful substances—water left in a normal hose can also grow bacteria.
