- ➤ Chattanooga attorney Cindy Bice, who adopted Miracle from a Georgia home where over 200 dogs were kept in appalling conditions, discovered that Miracle’s vocal cords were likely removed to stop her bark and that suspects Nathaniel and Aimee Curington were arrested on 7 counts of felony animal cruelty—more charges are expected. - ➤ Michael Holloway, a 48-year-old Chattanooga man — involved with a group of motorcyclists — pleaded guilty on July 7 to reckless aggravated assault for shooting a man near East Hamilton Middle School and received a two-year prison sentence. Local 3 News

- ➤ Cleveland Browns rookie Dylan Sampson, a star running back from Tennessee Vols, led a four-hour camp on Friday morning at Boyd Buchanan School where he coached nearly 200 campers ages 6 to 16 and shared his advice on mastering weaknesses.
