- ➤ Hamilton County has launched a new Veterans Treatment Court to help veterans facing nonviolent charges by offering a recovery-based alternative to jail. Two veterans appeared on felony charges last Thursday and the program matches each participant with a mentor (with plans for about 25 active participants), while also providing financial support for transportation and gift cards as they progress.
