- ➤ Retired Navy Commander Tim White recalled his actions during the 2015 terrorist attack in Chattanooga when he fired on an armed attacker amid chaos that claimed the lives of five service members; a Ten Year Remembrance Tribute for the Fallen Five took place yesterday at 11:00 a.m. at The Wreath of Honor in Tennessee Riverpark + security measures were later increased across military reserve centers. - ➤ Chattanooga firefighters attended a house fire in East Lake around 1:45 a.m. at 3500 6th Avenue and evacuated the home when the roof collapsed—by 2:24 a.m. they had contained the fire while nearby residents received help from the American Red Cross. News Channel 9

- ➤ A joint resolution signed by Mayor Tim Kelly and County Mayor Weston Wamp declared July 16 as Fallen Five Day of Remembrance after the domestic terrorism attack on July 16, 2015 that took the lives of four Marines and one Navy sailor—U.S. Navy Capt. Mickey McCamish read the resolution at a tribute event hosted by the Chattanooga Area Veterans Council where military families and civic leaders gathered to honor the fallen heroes.
