- ➤ A new modular bike park has opened near the Hubert Fry Center at Tennessee Riverwalk to give local riders a safe place to build their bike skills plus Hamilton County Parks and Recreation, SORBA Chattanooga, Outdoor Chattanooga and Chattanooga Parks and Outdoors teamed up on the project. The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset and will expand to Chester Frost Park later this year with monthly activation nights offering free ride time, bike loans and classes. Chattanooga CW

- ➤ Chattanooga police arrested LaJeffery Sparks in connection with the fatal shooting of a 42-year-old man on October 5 in the 4100 block of Fagan Street — Sparks faces charges for first-degree murder, possession of a firearm during a felony, and unlawful weapon possession by a felon. Local 3 News
- ➤ Dominque Lavon Boyd (27) carjacked a woman's car at gunpoint in Hixson and tried to hit her as she called 911, and officers later stopped him at a Walmart SuperCenter in Soddy-Daisy where they found drugs, a firearm he threw, and additional contraband. News Channel 9
- ➤ Dominique Boyd, a convicted felon, was arrested in Hamilton County after police pursued him on Monday evening in Soddy-Daisy when he carjacked his girlfriend’s vehicle and threatened her with a gun — authorities recovered his discarded firearm and found drugs in his car — and he now faces charges including attempted murder, carjacking and drug possession.
