- ➤ Chattanooga police are asking for help identifying an unidentified white female seen at Motel 6 on Lee Hwy during the murder of Alvin Davis Jr. earlier this month—police released three grainy photos and urge anyone with information to call the homicide tip line at 423-643-5100. Local 3 News
- ➤ A Hixson man, Alex J. Stallion, 27, was arrested on first-degree murder charges in connection with a targeted shooting near the Missionary Ridge Tunnel that killed a 29-year-old man on Aug. 17—police said. Chattanooga Times Free Press

- ➤ Chattanooga Public Works introduced its first compressed natural gas recycling trucks to cut fuel costs and lower emissions in support of Mayor Tim Kelly’s One Chattanooga Plan—children visited the trucks at Signal Centers on Tuesday and used a QR code to register for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library—helping promote early literacy.
