- ➤ A 49-year-old man from Ooltewah, Joel Donald Brown, was arrested on Sunday morning during a traffic stop—he is accused of causing over $510,000 in damage by cutting down power poles and removing aluminum cables from a Volunteer Ammunition property and is held on bond with a court date on September 5. - ➤ Hamilton County had a record year with $1.8 billion in visitor spending in 2024—4% more than in 2023—while officials pointed to events like Ironman, the World of Bluegrass Festival, and new flight routes that boosted local businesses and lowered residents' tax bills.
