ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • An overturned semi on Interstate 24 eastbound near Moccasin Bend has closed a lane, causing traffic delays.  Local 3 News
  • Firefighters successfully contained a carport fire, preventing it from spreading to a nearby home, with minimal damage and no injuries.  Local 3 News

CRIME NEWS

  • Chattanooga business owner is indicted on seven theft charges involving property valued between $2,500 and $60,000 and is currently out on bond.  Local 3 News
  • Victor Davis, 26, faces charges including attempted first degree murder for allegedly trying to kill three people in June 2024, with a court date set for October 9.  Local 3 News
  • A Hixson man was sentenced to eight years of probation after being found guilty of 55 firearm charges, including possession with a prior felony.  Chattanooga Times Free Press
  • Chattanooga businessman Ric Davis was indicted by a Hamilton County Grand Jury on six theft charges involving property valued between $2,500 and $60,000.  News Channel 9
  • An inmate named Jerry Turner died in Hamilton County Jail, with officials citing natural causes as the likely reason pending further investigation.  Local 3 News
