- ➤ Organizers say the 10th annual Gratefull event will be held on November 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on East MLK Boulevard to serve a free Thanksgiving meal. Volunteers and donations are needed for the Maclellan Shelter for Families—including nonperishable food, coffee supplies, disposable plates and silverware, toothpaste, diapers, and laundry supplies—donation bins will be available on site. - ➤ Fairmount Orchard, a local fall tradition for 97 years, will close on November 30 plus visitors can still enjoy apples, treats and its special cider until then. Local 3 News
- ➤ The Chattanooga Regional Homeless Coalition released its 2025 Edition of the Southeast Tennessee State of Homelessness Report that uses data systems—By-Name List, Point-in-Time Count, and Housing Inventory Count—to show housing gaps and rising economic pressures across eleven counties. The report offers policy recommendations to boost housing supply and improve system coordination. Local 3 News

- ➤ In September, local businesses expanded as Chattanooga Airport opened a global entry enrollment center and Dynamo Studios joined Songbirds Foundation—while officials broke ground on a new 46,000-square-foot Flying Pickle pickleball facility in Mill Town set to open late summer or early fall 2026. Other developments included Mad Priest Coffee Roasters moving to a larger space, Spirit Airlines ending three nonstop flights, Allegiant Air planning a nonstop flight to Fort Lauderdale next year, a partnership between Hamilton County Schools and Volkswagen, EPB adding hybrid computing to its quantum center, and a City Council tax increase expected to add $45 million to the city budget. - ➤ The Partnership for Families, Children and Adults reported a 72% rise in domestic violence shelter visits in Hamilton County over the past five years — and is asking the community to help raise $67,000 to expand support for children affected by domestic violence. - ➤ A Hamilton County board member, Ben Connor, will present an amended memorandum of understanding on Thursday to let Centerstone offer mental health services during non-instructional time when parents must approve any missed classes. Centerstone—having served 50 schools until the board ended the partnership last August—will bid on the contract while the district seeks proposals from multiple providers. News Channel 9
